Join  us for a summer adventure to the north east of Scotland, to the land of the silver city, sheep, ginger coos, and Doric dialect fit like.

Friday 21 July:  Early arrivals will meet from 1pm at Castle Fraser, west of Aberdeen.  One of Scotland’s largest tower houses, this 16th Century baronial castle, with extensive gardens and estate, is near to the ancient Pictish Standing Stone.

The castle features hidden trapdoors and incredible views from the top of its round tower.  Our parking area in front of the castle will provide an impressive photographic backdrop for our vehicles.

Evening meal:  TBC – we’ll make a group booking closer to the time when we know numbers.

Saturday 22 July:  A short convoy drive brings us to a relaxing day at ‘Blast from the Past’.  This charity event is one of Scotland’s principal shows featuring cars, motorcycles, commercials, auto test, parade laps, and live music.

The event is held entirely on tarmac and there’s a large hall should the weather be less than perfect.  Individual entry is required – see below for details.

Evening meal:  TBC – we’ll make a group booking closer to the time when we know numbers.

Sunday 23 July:  We convoy to the excellent Grampian Transport Museum at Alford,  Celebrating its 40th Anniversary, our vehicles have been invited to join their anniversary cavalcade of classic vehicles which will include a 1905 Sentinel Steam waggon.

Early afternoon, after the cavalcade, those not rushing home will convoy onwards to the fascinating Peterhead Prison Museum where we will walk the halls and corridors of the former HM Convict Prison Peterhead, the only penal servitude prison in Scotland.

Interested?  Come for a day or make a long weekend of this great event – all vehicles with an Eastern Bloc pedigree are welcome.

Pop an email to:   scotlandrep@IFAClub.co.uk  and we’ll keep you up to date with convoy routes, timings, meal details, etc.
