For our final main event of the year we return to the ever-popular Peak District.

Details of the Saturday are still being knocked in to shape but expect a visit to Barrow Hill, UK’s last operational steam locomotive roundhouse, and an historic mill visit along the Derwent Valley UNESCO World Heritage site.

On Sunday we make a very welcome return visit to Crich Tramway Village  and the National Tramway Museum.  Many will recall that this was a regular Red Oktober venue until the Museum decided to move away from such events:  www.tramway.co.uk

Well, we’re back, but  please note that this is a meet for Eastern Bloc vehicles only –  it is not a revival of past Red Oktober events at Crich.  The Museum requires that there are no uniforms or military re-enactors (after some reported problems in the past).  We will  comply with the museum’s wishes and, who knows, maybe there’ll be a softening of their line another year.

All vehicles with an Eastern Bloc pedigree are welcome to join us for all or part of this weekend.
