Welcome aboard for our last outing of 2022 celebrating the best of Eastern Bloc motoring. Red Oktober 2022 gives us our first visit to the historic city of Kingston upon Hull and the Humberside area.
Friday:
Early arrivals can meet at the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum, where we will display our vehicles within the museum for photos in front of classic aircraft.
Saturday:
Morning: We start with a visit to Hull’s excellent ‘Streetlife’ museum covering transport through the ages. We’ll park up on the public space directly in front of the museum.
Afternoon: With a road run taking in the Humber Bridge, we arrive at the Fishing Heritage Centre at Grimsby. This award-winning museum covers the rise and fall of East Coast fishing, and includes the trawler Ross Tiger.
Sunday:
Those staying over, based in Hull, will cross the Humber Bridge with a road run to the National Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft. We spend the day here, riding and inspecting the world’s largest collction of trolleybuses. Club members have the added joy of our AGM in the museum’s Regal cinema!
Interested? As always, the event is open to all Eastern Bloc vehicles, whether 2, 3 or more wheels. All are welcome whether joining us for all or part of either or both days.

Meals: For those local, or staying over, Friday evening meal will be at the excellent Kuchnia Polish restaurant. Saturday evening meal will be at the famous Minerva pub overlooking the Humber by Hull’s old town. Booking for evening meals is essential so that we can keep tab of numbers.
